Get IMEI number from COAI outlet

Recently, somebody has stolen my friend’s mobile and she had doubt on one of our colleague. But problem is that how can she take her phone back. Then she has done brainstorming, internet surfing and through some sources came to know that every mobile number has unique 15-digit code and this IMEI number helps her to get her lovely phone back from her colleague. This may happen with many of us but now this problem will resolve soon, as DoT has approved the cellular industry IMEI number proposal through which IMEI number will be transplanted on the mobile phones with the help of a software.

IMEI is basically a unique 15-digit code that identifies a mobile and prevents the illegal use of stolen handsets and allows security agencies to track down a specific user. Every mobile phone has a unique IMEI number, which is printed under the battery on the phone. Check IMEI number of your phone by dialing *#06#. Currently, around 20 million users are having handsets without IMEI number. Mobile phones sold in grey market don’t have IMEI numbers which is the major security concern.
